kyck 12 Seminars
At KYCK this year we will be running 3 seminars on Saturday afternoon.
They are optional so you can either come and listen in or chill-ax with your group!
Here's a short blurb on each seminar...
A Radical Life: Lessons from the Persecuted Church
13:3 Voice of the Martyrs
Thirteen Three is a youth initiative of Voice of the Martyrs Australia. Our aim is to mobilise youth to support persecuted Christians by being BOUND WITH THEM. Thirteen Three is inspired by Hebrews 13:3, “Remember the Lord’s people who are in jail and be concerned for them. Don’t forget those who are suffering, but imagine that you are there with them.”
200 million Christians face persecution everyday because of their stand forJesus. They are denied basic human rights, beaten, imprisoned, and even killed. Come and hear their courageous testimonies of faith in the face of great opposition and find out how you can support them. WARNING: You will be challenged to live radically for Christ.

‘Doing Good’
Anglicare
Should we give money to people who are homeless? Does God care if we help that little old lady across the road? Does feeding the poor have any eternal significance? Are people more important than whales?
Jesus says the most important thing you can do with your WHOLE life is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, strength AND love your neighbour as yourself. Caring for others is a way to glorify God and show the world that Jesus is worth following. We believe love is an action. We love others, even when it’s tough, because it’s what Jesus tells us to. That’s why Anglicare Sydney works with families struggling to pay their bills, people escaping violence, refugees, teenagers who are homeless, people with a disability and those who are socially excluded in many other ways. We love God and want to love others as a way of glorifying Him!
