KYCK 2011

FAQ

Q. WHO SHOULD ATTEND KYCK?
KYCK is for people of high school age. We encourage youth groups to attend, along with their leaders. Please note that anyone under 18 cannot attend KYCK alone. Anyone over 18 must be part of a group that is attending.

Q. WHAT IS KYCK ALL ABOUT?
At KYCK we take Jesus seriously, we take the bible seriously and wetake holiness of life seriously. Our hope is that as teenagers gatherat KYCK they will be impacted to follow Jesus in such a way that theys take everything on eternity rather than wasting their lives on thetemporal things of this world.

At KYCK12 the focus again will be on challenging and equipping teens from the Bible to boldly live the Christian life.

Q. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
Registration prices vary depending on when you get your payment in. Early bird prices are to be paid in full by closing dates.

See our Registration page for more information and early bird prices.

Q. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

We love it when people want to get involved with KYCK! There's a few ways you can do this. You can pray. You can volunteer to help out with various parts of the weekend - eg. as ushers, in the bookshop and serving morning tea etc.

See our Volunteer page for more information.

Q. WHAT IS THE WEEKEND FORMAT?

The weekend is made up of a series of 6 Bible talks, interspersed with food breaks, free time and other organised activities.

See the kyck Program for more information.

Q. WHO WILL BE SPEAKING?

This year at KYCK, Sam Chan and Malcolm Gill will be speaking. See our Speakers page for more information.

Q. HOW DO WE GET TO THE CONVENTION SITE?

Katoomba Christian Convention Site is 110km west of Sydney at Katoomba (see Location Map below). It is accessible by car (along the M4) or by train to Katoomba Station and a short taxi ride to the site.

See our Where is KYCK page for more information.

Q. CAN WE ORGANISE OUR OWN ACCOMMODATION?

Yes!

Many groups like to organise their own accommodation for the weekend after they have missed out on kcc accommodation. There's plenty of houses around Katoomba that you can stay at. So if you're a small group, and the kcc accommodation is booked out, why not partner up with another local youth group and share accommodation! Its a great way to form new relationships and encourage each other!

See our Accommodation page for more information.
